Another Round of Donut Hole Rebate Checks Drop This Week
This year, as qualifying seniors enter the "donut hole," Medicare will send them a tax-free, one-time rebate check for $250. These rebate checks are the first step in closing the prescription drug coverage gap under the Affordable Care Act.
The third round of checks was mailed this week, bringing to more than 750,000 the total number of people with Medicare who have received checks this year. Thousands more will receive rebate checks in the coming months.
