Latest Details on Federal Health Reform Legislation

 

The U. S. House of Representatives is nearing a vote on health reform legislation this weekend.  The House will vote on the “Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010”, which is being proposed as an amendment to the federal budget (H. R. 4872). Here’s several key documents that provide detailed information on the health reform provisions:

 

·       A section by section summary of the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010;

·       The full text of the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 (the House amendment to the federal budget containing the health reforms); and

·       The cost estimate on the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010 prepared by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and released on March 18.
