New Web Site Highlights Federal
Health Reform Implementation in
Kentuckians now have an
official online source of information on the state’s implementation of the new federal
health reform law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. A new web site launched by the Cabinet for
Health and Family Services, http://healthcarereform.ky.gov,
provides citizens with a wide range of information about the new law and efforts
being undertaken by state government to implement it.
Features of the new web
site include:

Detailed
background information on the new law, including a summary as well as the full
text of the legislation;
·
A complete
list of federal grants awarded to Kentucky under the Affordable Care Act, as
well as those for which the state has applied but not yet been awarded;
·
Regular
updates on state government actions to implement the new law in
·
State news
releases on health reform related events and activities; and
·
A comments
section in which consumers, advocates, employers, insurers and others are
encouraged submit comments on the impact of the new law.
