The Courier-Journal Reports on Medicaid Stop Smoking Funds
The Courier-Journal reports on the $1.5 million appropriation included in the recently-passed Kentucky state budget to fund smoking cesscation services in the Medicaid program. Kentucky had previously been one of only five states without such coverage. When matched with federal Medicaid funds, the Commonwealth will have approximately $11 million availble to help Medicaid recipients stop smoking.
