What Kentuckians Think About the Affordable Care Act
The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky has released results from the most recent Kentucky Health Issues Poll, sharing Kentuckians' opinions on the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) that was signed into law in early 2010. Poll results show that respondents felt most favorably toward these elements of the law:
- Small business tax credits (82%)
- Access to preventative services without co-payment (78%)
- Prohibiting denying coverage for children with preexisting conditions (76%)
- Closing the Medicare donut hole over time (76%)
